Counselling for adults and young people, in the New Forest, Christchurch & online

Counselling for children and teenagers aged 11-18

Watching your child struggle can be incredibly difficult.

Perhaps they've become more anxious, withdrawn or emotional. Maybe they're finding friendships hard, avoiding school, struggling with low confidence or working out who they really are.

You may have tried talking, reassuring, encouraging or giving them space, yet still feel unsure how best to help.

It takes courage for a young person to come to counselling. I help them feel welcome, accepted and under no pressure to be anything other than who and how they feel.

With my support, they can slow down, feel heard and begin to make sense of what they're experiencing and who they really are.

How I work with young people

I've seen the difference receiving support in the teenage years can make; providing support in childhood can avoid so much pain in later life. That's why I chose to complete additional training in working specifically with young people.

Every young person brings their own personality, interests and way of communicating, so I shape sessions around them. Whether we talk, draw, use creative activities or simply spend time getting to know one another, my aim is to help them feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

Because that's where real change begins.

We can meet in my peaceful garden lodge in the New Forest, a discreet counselling room in Highcliffe, Christchurch, or online if that works better for you.
